Have you heard the quote – ‘there’s more to this than meets the eye’? Dig down a little bit with your friends and you’ll know that’s true. There’s more to us than meets the eye.
You may have heard that the Anglican Church Pop Up Shop will be happening again this year. We realised recently that our pop up shop was more than a pop up shop. There are a group of people who desire to see our community connect and flourish.
The original idea was for a Pop Up Shop was never just about the shop. Sure, we’ll be selling plants and second hand items but the shop is about much more than that. We have always wanted it to be a place where you could come and get something for nothing.
You’ve read about the offerings in last weeks paper. They’re all on. You can come and get electrical items tested and tagged, learn to make a bucket, learn the guitar or ukulele, paint and egg, sew or knit, recycle old cards, singles and old people can get some help from the Odd Job Army to come and, do odd jobs.
Oh you could also learn how to juggle. Did you know the Vicar could juggle? Did you know juggling is very therapeutic? There really is more to us than meets the eye.
Of course, there’s more to life than a shop and shopping. You can also find out why the church is better and worse than you ever imagined. Maybe you’ve got some hard, unanswered questions. You’re not the only one. Did you know it was better, AND worse?
Keep your eyes open, look for the brochures, book a spot and find our there’s more to us than meets the eye.
